John Reid

 

Back by popular demand and fresh off his run for Lieutenant Governor John offers his thoughtful perspective on the issues of the day including his run for office. 

John Reid is a businessman and broadcaster who is a native Virginian, born and raised in Henrico in the Richmond suburbs.
In addition to being a long time television news anchor, investigative reporter, and radio host he has held senior positions in communications in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Senate Press Secretaries Association where he was elected president, and as Chief of communications for the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Association of America based in New York City.

He also has the distinction of being chosen as the last intern and press assistant to former President Ronald Reagan in Los Angeles in 1993. 

Following his time in Washington DC, Reid was a partner and director of international development for the global public relations consulting firm: Qorvis Communications. 

John has lived, worked, or traveled in over 110 countries on all 7 continents and is a frequent political commentator on some of America’s most influential radio and TV programs.

John attended Henrico County Public Schools and graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and now lives with his partner Alonzo in Short Pump in western Henrico.
